You may have noticed when using flat nose pliers, it will have a tendency to crush the crimp beads, which will leave behind sharp edges. Using crimping pliers such as this one, will create smooth, rounded crimps every time.
Using a special and very easy two-step process allows the plier to first separate the crimp into two sections, which secures each of your threads/string, and then crush the crimp to ensure the tightest crimp possible. The lower section crimps and the upper section rounds off your crimped bead for a clean, professional look.
PRO TIP: One trick to have a very professional finished look when crimping beads is to use crimp covers or if you don't have that, you can also use a large-holed bead to cover the crimped beads. That along with French wire to cover the wire, will give your jewelry a very professional clean look.
