This larimar pendant is a wispy white and sky blue color, with some natural brown inclusion. This larimar stone seems to mimic lying on your back in the sand, looking up at nebulous white clouds as they float across a beautiful summer sky as the ocean laps at your feet. Found only on the island of the Dominican Republic, the larimar stone is very rare and very tied to myths about the ocean, including one of the most famous myths, that of the lost city of Atlantis. The larimar gemstone is sometimes called the Atlantis stone.
According to legend, the city of Atlantis was built by a highly-advanced civilization but due to a natural disaster, it sunk beneath the sea, never to be seen again, and some believe that the Dominican Republic, home to the larimar stone, is in the same location as the lost city.
