Larimar stone is mined only in one country on the planet: Dominican Republic. As the legend goes, a local fisherman found the Larimar gemstone on the sandy shore while enjoying a stroll. He picked up the bluish fragments from the sand and immediately thought of his two most precious companions: his daughter, Larissa, and the sea. Thus, he named the stone after combining the names of the two. Today, Larimar stones are turned into beads, pendants and cabochons, but the beauty of their blue colors shines equally in all shapes and sizes.
