Beer quartz, also called whiskey quartz, are a rare variation of smoky quartz, which belong in the golden-brown family of quartz. The formation of beer quartz is quite fascinating and almost as enjoyable as the beverage they are named after. Whiskey quartz are formed from liquid magma from a volcanic explosion that cools down and combines with silica acid bubbles. The acid eventually turns into whiskey quartz! Whisky quartz is so valuable that they compare to an actual bottle of expensive whiskey. Featuring a delightful cognac color, these beads are certainly a crowd-pleaser! The yellow hues are similar to citrine gemstones and sometimes paired together to create a glowing masterpiece.
