The larimar stone churns white and blue with a mystic quality that is specific only to it. The larimer gemstone is also called the Atlantis stone, because the only place where larimar is mined, the Dominican Republic, is though by some to be the former site of the lost city of Atlantis. Because of this connection, some people believe that the larimar stone is part of the legendary Atlantis, and that it can imbue its wearers with a sense of adventure and intelligence that, according to myth, the residents of Atlantis were famous for. Either way, these larimar beads are unique and full of wonder.
To design with these larimar stone cabochons, you can wrap them in wire or set them in sterling silver. Larimar stone cabochons do not need an elaborate set up because they are so beautiful as they are.
